Serving at Jubilee

Using your time to serve on team and make Jesus known.

Volunteering to serve on a team at Jubilee is a great way to connect, build friendship, use gifts and be part of what God is doing here. We have a number of different opportunities to serve at Jubilee both on Sundays and throughout the week with the different roles described below.

SUNDAY SERVING

Below are the serving opportunities for Sundays with most roles requiring volunteers to serve once a month:
Welcome Team - Welcoming people to our building for services and making sure people visiting have a great experience of Jubilee.

Explorers Team
Serving our 0-11s, we provide activities during our service for children to learn about what it means to follow Jesus. For more details click here.

Youth Team
Serving our 11-18s, we provide activities during our service for our young people to encounter God together. This role also involves serving on a Friday evening at least monthly. For more details click here.

Worship Team
Being part of the band to lead the church in sung worship on Sundays and at other gatherings.
Production Team - Operating the sound desk, cameras or words to provide an environment where people can engage with God in our services.

MIDWEEK SERVING

Below are the serving opportunities for during the week at Jubilee Central with most roles requiring volunteers to serve weekly:

Reception
Welcoming people into the building and dealing with enquiries.

Facility Support
Setting up rooms for activities and assisting with cleaning.

Showers and Laundry
Helping to serve our homeless community by giving access to our showers and laundry facilities.

Life College
Supporting our course tutors as they deliver activities as part of our Life College project.

Jubilee Church Hull has a Safer Recruitment Policy which forms part of the Safeguarding Policy (which is available on request) and requires all applicants to complete a volunteer application form.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT

We understand it can be a daunting thing to visit a church for the first time, and so at Jubilee we try to make everything as simple and straightforward as possible by letting you know exactly what is going on.

SERVICE TIMES

Our service starts at 10.30am every Sunday morning. Doors open at 10.15am and the service finishes at approximately 12pm. Refreshments are served after the service.

Jubilee Church Hull meet every Sunday at Jubilee Central.

Please note that we do not have on-site parking although there are a number of city centre car parks within walking distance of the church with Albion Street car park located closest (use postcode HU1 3SL). We are also located just 300 metres from the Hull Paragon Interchange for those travelling by bus or train.
